U.S.A.M — Universe Space Applications Mission
Inspired by vintage U.S. military academy sweatshirts,
U.S.A.M reimagines the language of uniforms beyond the nation-state.
The initials stand for Universe Space Applications Mission —
a mission not bound to borders, but to time and memory.
On the back, where a soldier’s name would usually appear,
is inscribed YHWH — a reminder of something older than any army,
any empire, any flag.
Across ancient Persia and beyond, irreplaceable records of humanity once stood.
Libraries, reliefs, temples, and inscriptions —
histories that shaped civilization, now erased by conflict, ideology, and fear.
What is inconvenient to the present is often the first to disappear.
Good and evil are judged by the future,
yet the past rarely has a voice to defend itself.
U.S.A.M is not a statement of sides,
but a quiet appeal:
protect what cannot be rebuilt.
Because once history is lost,
no mission — earthly or cosmic — can bring it back.

国境ではなく、時間と記憶に向けられたミッション。

YHWH の文字が刻まれている。
それは、いかなる軍や帝国、国旗よりも古い存在への静かな想起。
かつてペルシャをはじめとする各地には、
人類にとってかけがえのない資料や遺跡が数多く存在していた。
図書館、神殿、碑文、レリーフ——
文明を形づくった記憶は、
紛争や思想、恐怖によって次々と消されていく。
「今の時代にとって都合の悪い歴史」は、
最初に失われる。
善と悪を判断するのは未来であり、
過去は自らを守る声を持たない。
U.S.A.M は、どこかの正義を主張するためのデザインではない。
それは、
二度と取り戻せないものを守ろうとする静かな訴え。
歴史が失われたあとに、
地上でも宇宙でも、
それを回収するミッションは存在しないのだから。
