このTシャツに添えられたのは、ノーベル平和賞を受賞した修道女・マザー・テレサの名言、 「Peace begins with a smile（平和は笑顔から始まる）」という、シンプルでありながら深く心に響く言葉です。 北マケドニアに生まれ、18歳で修道女となったテレサは、インド・カルカッタのスラムで貧しい人々と共に暮らし、無料の児童養護施設やホスピスを世界中に広げていきました。 そのやさしい笑顔は、どんな薬よりも人々の心を癒し、勇気を与えるものでした。 このデザインに使われたのは、撮影にまだ慣れていない幼い子どもが見せた、ぎこちなくも純粋な“はじめてのスマイル”。 そこには、まっすぐで飾らない、でも確かに心を動かす力があります。 難しい言葉はいらない。ただひとつの笑顔が、人の心をほぐし、世界をやさしく変えていく。
