From Beres Hammond to Buju Banton and Marcia Griffiths, countless artists rose from this “high floor” to touch the world.
Now, “UP TOWN” revives that spirit as an homage to Penthouse—
a design inspired by the sunrise over Sendai’s Aoba Castle, where the city awakens in quiet harmony.
Light spills over the tiled roofs, carrying the breath of a new day and the pulse of hope.
On the front, the word “drawupomg” stands boldly—
the “Ω” marking both an ending and the eternal cycle of renewal.
It’s a symbol of gratitude for the warmth and support born in Sendai,
and a calm declaration: this is where it begins again.
Just as Lee “Scratch” Perry expanded reggae to the cosmos,
and Donovan Germain refined the sound of the city,
drawup carries on the “UP” spirit—connecting streets and souls, past and future.
This is not a farewell, but a dawn.
