DRAWUP Σ – Legacy in Gradient Motion
As a child, I spent hours tracing the work of Akira Toriyama,
and carried the playful spirit of the 70s Mickey & Minnie font into my own design.
“DRAWUP Σ” evokes a style that seems inspired by Dragon Ball yet stands apart—
its gradient lettering a reinterpretation rather than replication.
Built on the golden ratio of title / heroine / mascot,
and under the influence of ukiyo-e master Yoshitoshi Tsukioka’s depiction of cloth folds and motion,
the design captures flow, movement and lineage.
The Greek letter “Σ” (sigma) stands for summation—
the synthesis of memories, senses, and culture into a single collective form.
This tee is a celebration of learning from the past, looking inward, and designing what comes next.

DRAWUP Σ – グラデーション運動における遺産
幼き頃、鳥山明氏 の世界を模写して描いた日々。
70年代ミッキー＆ミニーのフォントのあの遊び心を胸に、
“Dragon Ball に想を得た”ようにも見える、グラデーション加工された文字体。
「DRAWUP Σ」は、タイトル／ヒロイン／マスコットという黄金比をデザイン構造に落とし込み、
さらに浮世絵師 月岡芳年 の布の皺の表現から肉体の動きと流れまでを借りた。
文字の“Σ（シグマ）”は、足し算・総和・集合体として、
散らばった記憶や感性をひとつに統合する鍵。
この一枚は、過去に習い、目を向け、そして新しい構造を描くための祝祭。
